What to Expect
Home or Business Ozone Shock Treatment Process
Home or business Ozone Shock Treatments may require a pre-treatment assessment. This entails assessing the extent of the odor and determining the appropriate dosing and time required for the treatment.
On the day of the treatment we arrive at the pre-arranged time to setup our equipment which consists primarily of Ozone generators and circulating fans. These are distributed throughout the home or business to maximize the distribution of Ozone and focus on any problem areas.
Prior to turning on the Ozone generators we ensure that all people and pets are removed from the home or business. Fish do not have to be removed from the treatment area. Plants are removed from the area or contained in plastic to ensure they are not exposed to Ozone. We then turn on the Ozone generators and exit the building.
During the Ozone Shock Treatment we post signs at all entrances to ensure nobody enters the home or business. The signs have our emergency contact number should someone need to enter the home or business.
When we return to the home or business we enter the treatment area with a breathing apparatus to turn the Ozone generators off and open windows and use the fans to vent the ozonated air, and replace it with fresh air. It takes from a half an hour to one hour to replace the air with fresh air. A sensitive ozone detector is used to confirm that the Ozone levels are at ambient levels, which is below 0.05 PPM. Upon confirmation, people and pets are allowed back into the home or business. We then remove our equipment. A clean, fresh smell like that of laundry dried outside will be noticeable for roughly 12 hours, then there will be no odors whatsoever.
The total time required for this process typically takes from 4 to 8 hours depending primarily on the extent of the odor problem.
Car, Boat or RV Ozone Shock Treatments
Boats, cars, trailers, motor homes and similar jobs also require less time than a full home or business Ozone Shock Treatment.
